Sabemos que muitas adolescentes estão engravidando hoje no Brasil e se faz necessário conhecer um pouco mais sobre essa situação. São vários os motivos que levam uma adolescente a engravidar e conhecer um pouco mais sobre o tema nos ajuda a entender essa situação, buscar ajuda e prevenção.

Prólogo

OBJETIVO GERAL

Há cada vez mais adolescentes tornando-se mães e pais. Para diminuir a incidência destes casos, não basta falar sobre os métodos contraceptivos, é necessário desvendar essa questão analisando diversos pontos  para compreende-la. Nem sempre a falta de informação é o motivo principal e sim a falta de um projeto de vida. Desta forma é preciso um estudo geral sobre essa situação.

GRAVIDEZ NA ADOLESCÊNCIA

Existe uma série de fatores que poderiam contribuir para o aumento da incidência de gestantes adolescente. O baixo nível socioeconômico é um deles porque, às vezes, como já disse, a gravidez representa oportunidade de ascensão social. Além disso, a baixa escolaridade também pesa nesse contexto. Metade das adolescentes atendidas nos hospitais já tinham interrompido os estudos antes de engravidar. Isso nos permite pensar que se tivessem continuado a estudar e a receber estímulos pedagógicos e culturais como acontece com as meninas de classe social mais favorecida, talvez nem pensassem numa gestação , porque de uma forma ou outra, a escola representa um fato de proteção para elas.
